UIC SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL : "THE PINK CAMPUS AND ACADEMIC ADMINISTRATION

kumusta sa lahat, hayaan mo akong magpakilala, ang pangalan ko ay Muhammad Fathurrahman, ako ay isang mag-aaral na nag-aaral ng pisikal na edukasyon mula sa indonesian university of education campus "UPI".

"THIS IS UIC SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL BUILD"

The year 2000 marked the first year of relocation of the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education to the 7-hectare UIC Bajada campus. The campus has a brand new, grand and magnificent 3-storey building, complete with various facilities. These facilities include an air-conditioned auditorium, audio-visual/conference room, library, computers, science laboratories and gymnasium. In addition, a very spacious playground and chapel provide opportunities for students to grow not only intellectually but also spiritually, physically and psychologically. UIC has the nickname "pink campus" because of its pink buildings and pink uniforms.

UIC High School is where we did our internship, and I taught at two different campuses. First is in bajada campus, where this campus is about 30 minutes away from the main campus where I lived, and we would go to bajada by jeepney and threecylce, this bajada campus is located on 7 hectares of land  in Dumalas, Bajada, 8000, Davao City, and this campuss is the biggest place owned by UIC and is the place for basic education.

The second one I taught at the Bonifacio Campus. The Bonifacio Campus or Annex Campus is the only campus that is close to the main campus along the highway, you only have to take one route to reach it; there are also several conveniences near the campus which is much easier for the students to get what they need and a very convenient school to enroll in. this campus is the place to go for college and senior high school from UIC.

Academic Support System

In my opinion, the facilities provided by UIC are very good, where each class has an LCD TV that makes it easier for teachers to explain power points, then each class has a fan or air conditioner, there is also a long whiteboard that helps other teachers when they want to explain or give something on the board. UIC also has several rooms with complete facilities, such as a good library that has been equipped with comfortable chairs, sofas and tables, besides that there is air conditioning. not to forget also in the teacher's room there are good facilities ranging from the teacher's desk, air conditioning, to fast wifi, which can help teachers when they want to find material, besides the prayer room and clinic.

Teaching System

The teaching and learning process in this school is conducted as a full day school, which is only 5 days. The teaching and learning process for each class starts at 7:30 am and ends at 4:45 pm. The learning process in class is given 1 hour, therefore if using classes in the gymnasium, students are usually asked to arrive early because they have to walk first from class to their destination in order to maximize time.

Materials and other learning resources

The materials taught are in accordance with the K-12 core curriculum. During learning, teachers have books that can be borrowed from the school library. Likewise with students, they also have books as a study guide. In addition to using books, teachers can supplement and search for materials on the internet (online books).

Measurement and evaluation system

As an evaluation of the learning process, this school holds exams. There are monthly exams held every month and periodic exams held at the end of each quarter. At the end of the year, there will be awards for students who have maintained their grades as well as the best class. Not only exams. Evaluation is also done through quizzes at the end of the learning process. for physical education subjects, of course, there are written and practical exams.

Curriculum

UIC High School teachers have also prepared for the intensified application of the UbD Framework and the initial implementation of the K to 12 program by undergoing the training, “Curricular Visioning and Benchmarking” that puts emphasis on the teacher as a curriculum leader. The training’s lecture-workshop construct enhances teaching effectives. The training initiative is an innovative approach to re-tool the faculty to effect curricular change and to expand learning opportunities. The teachers productively engage in the workshop activities, leading to a review of the Development Program on Instruction.

Teaching plan (of your major)

Teachers make their own lesson plan but still in line with the curriculum, also based on the scopes and sequence monitoring that will be made right after entering the new quarter.
In order to get the aim of UIC, the lesson plan is designed by the following elements :

- transfer goal
- essential understanding
- essential question

I. Preliminaries

II. Lesson Development
